Edit documents inside your own product.

Today, the public Dokus browser component is a read-only viewer. We are building a separate WASM editor that will add document changes while keeping the same rendering and selection model.

Edit the documents your product already uses.

This is not a promise to reproduce all of Microsoft Word. The goal is to let a product show and change the documents its users need, without sending them to a separate office application.

Edit text in place

Users will work directly on the rendered document instead of switching to another application.

Select meaningful parts

Text, fields, blocks, tables, rows, and cells will remain separate targets.

Use the same document model

The editor will save changes to the document structure, not to screen coordinates.

Let the host control saving

Your application will keep control of authorization, versions, persistence, and project.

What exists today, and what does not.

Document editing and saving

The public viewer contains no mutation, editing, history, save, or persistence API. Those capabilities will ship separately.

Use the viewer now. Follow the editor as it develops.
